Raymond F. DesRocher, Sr, 76, beloved husband of 55 years to Margaret “Peggy”(Reynolds) DesRocher, passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by his family on Monday, March 14, 2016. He was born September 13, 1939 in Hartford to the late Florian Nelson and Bertha (Goodell) DesRocher, Sr. He was a proud member of Ironworkers Local 15 out of Hartford in which he retired. He was a faithful friend of Bill W since 1974. Besides his wife he is survived by his eleven children; Lisa M. McCorkell, Kathleen M. DesRocher, Raymond F. DesRocher, Jr and his wife Heather, Charleen M. Turcotte and her husband Michael, Sr. , Patrick K. DesRocher and his wife Tracy, Maryelizabeth Rozanski and her husband Eben, James N. DesRocher and his wife Stephanie, Theodore J. DesRocher and his wife Heidi, Margaret A. Raimo and her husband Christopher , Kevin M. DesRocher and his wife Jessica, Amy E. Donovan and Kimberly DesRocher; his brother Michael Mollet and his sister Annalisa Ficcocelli; his 33 Grandchildren; Katelyn, Jennifer, Raymond III, Christopher, Faith Anne, James, Margaret,Michael,Martin,Patrick,Jr.,Madison,Shane,Joshua,Cooper,Logan,Miranda,Hunter,Ethan, William,Madeline,Violet,Brianna,Tyler,Gabriel,Isaac,Jude,Kolin,Peyton,Kaleb,Camron,Jameson, Brittany and Lindsey; his Great-Grandchildren; Delilah, Dylan, Colby, J.P., Raymond IV and Baby X. He also leaves his niece and nephews; Christine, David, Danielle and his favorite nephew David DesRocher. He also leaves his faithful companion, his boxer Chaos. He was predeceased by his sisters Florence Young and Shirley Bernard and his brothers; Theodore DesRocher and Florian Nelson DesRocher, Jr . Relatives and friends may join the family on Thursday, March, 17, 2016 from 4 – 8 pm at Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Catherine Church, Broad Brook. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery.
