James W. Armour, 62, of South Yarmouth, Massachusetts (Cape Cod) formerly of West Hartford, Hartford, Wethersfield and Bloomfield, CT, passed away on March 14, 2018 after a long illness. The family is very grateful for many residents at Simpkins School Residences in helping Jimmy during many hospitalizations.

He was born June 4, 1955 in Hartford, CT to the late Donald and Mary (Paoli) Armour. Jimmy was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by his sister Anne & husband Jim Snyder of Hartford, CT, his brother Don & wife Sheila Armour of Niantic, CT and Tarpon Springs, Florida, and his twin sister, Jeannie & husband Billy Miller of Simsbury, CT. He leaves nephews Bret Snyder and family, Craig Snyder, and Jayme Miller. He leaves nieces Amy Leeds and family, Alyson Webb and family, Kerry Anderson and family and Krista Miller. He will be sorely missed by Titus, his ever-present puggle companion.

Jimmy is a 1973 graduate of Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford, CT and a 1977 graduate of Eastern CT State College. He lived a full and adventurous life. He brought smiles and laughter whenever he walked into the room. He was kind and giving, loved to collect pieces of art or trinkets and always had someone in mind as to who he would be gifting these items to. He will not only be remembered for his playful character but, for his incredible art skills and the stories that go along with each print.

Relatives and friends may join the family on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 10:45 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Bloomfield, CT for a graveside service.

Following burial please join the family at Bloomfield Fire Station in Bloomfield, CT to celebrate his life. Many of Jimmy’s prints will be displayed.
