The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Edward Stawecki can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Bob & Margaret Quinn
Condolence: Dear Greta & Family;

Margaret & I extend our sympathy on your loss. Ed was a man who exuded love & compassion to all he touched. As a Brother Knight I came to respect his work ethic & constant flow of ideas that showed his generosity and care. Ed had a great sense of humor and was always fun to be around. We will not forget Ed

Condolence: To the Stawecki family - Ed was one of the truly great guys I have met in my life. I first met him through his uncle Pete on the HPD in 1968. His personality and resourcefulness were a joy to all who met him. Ed will be missed. God bless.

Condolence: What a good man! Ed was dedicated to whatever job or task he undertook. My deepest sympathy to Greta who suffered with him in his many pains and challenges. We loved him here in Old Orchard Beach and have missed him so much! His sense of humor and ability to bear a lot of pain with no complaints were remarkable. We take heart, knowing that he is now at peace and heaven has another bright star!

Condolence: My deepest condolences to the Stawecki family. I had the pleasure of working with Eddie, when he was a bail commissioner. After he became a Sheriff, we worked the midnight shift at the Sheriff's jail on Lafayette Street. Eddie was loyal, compassionate and he had a great sense of humor. More than all that, he was my friend. Rest in Peace brother.

Condolence From: Horace
Condolence: My sincere condolences for the loss of Edward. Be assured that the almighty God truly cares for the family!

May you find comfort in the promise that "... there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous" (Acts 24:15), and very soon "... no resident will say, 'I am sick'" (Isa. 33:24) because "... death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”(Rev. 21:4)
