Obituary for Merrilee D. Green-Thomas

Merrilee D. Green-Thomas, 74, beloved wife of Harry D. Thomas passed away Friday, February 2, 2018. She was born January 19, 1944 in Stafford Springs, the daughter of the late Dorrance and Mildred (Herold) Green. She graduated from SMU with a degree in graphic design. She was an art teacher in Grafton, MA and later retired from Northeast Utilities. She was a member of the Rockville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, painting, playing the piano and traveling to England and Wales. She had a love for her animals, especially her dogs. She was very proud of her son, Jason and helped him build his business. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Jason Yerke and his wife Shelley of Hebron; her brother, Keith Green and his wife Amy of Sherman; her sister, Pamela Pearson of Wilbraham, MA; her two grandchildren, Katharine and Caleb Yerke; and her two nieces, Sarah Pearson and Robin Bupp. She was predeceased by her son, Justin. The family would like to express special gratitude to her caregivers, Lisa, Chrystal and Laraine. All services will be private at the convenience of the family.
