Roy M.  Koehler
Roy M. Koehler, 79, of Ellington, beloved husband of Judy (Marley) Koehler, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 14, 1938 in South Coventry, CT, the son of the late Earl and Bertha (Desplanque) Koehler. Roy loved woodworking, hunting, and Nascar racing, where he raced modified at one time. He was in the U.S. Army. He spent many years working sand and gravel, driving trucks for various construction outfits before retiring from the State of CT Bridges & Repairs department. Besides his wife, Judy, he is survived by his children; his daughters, Deborah Horton and her husband Wayne of Berkley, MA, Karen Koehler of Ellington; his sons, Shawn Koehler and wife Kelli and their children Colton and Cooper of Ellington, Todd Koehler and wife Pamela of West Suffield and Rory Koehler and his children Brionna and Trevor of Ellington; his twin brother Ronald Koehler of Deltona, FL, Peter Koehler of Colchester and his faithful companion Sadey. Besides his parents he was predeceased by 2 brothers James and Daniel and his sister Joan Agnew. Relatives and friends may join the family on Wednesday, August 23, 2017from 5-7 pm at Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Luke Church, Ellington (Please meet at Church). The family would like to thank The Enfield Infusion Center for their compassionate care including Doreen, Kathy, Robin, Kim, Dr. Thumar, Dr. Pat, Carleen, Ann Marie and Jenn.
