Obituary for Theresa R. Melesko

Theresa R. Melesko, 89, of Ellington, beloved wife of the late Edward V. Melesko passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017. She was born June 4, 1928 in Arcadia, WI, the daughter of the late Albert and Cecilia ( Malesztski ) Fernholz. She was a devoted catholic, a long time parishioner of St. Bernard Church and very involved in the St. Bernard’s Ladies Guild, the Ellington Senior Center and the former Better Aged Singers. Family was very important to her and she loved spending time with all of them. She is survived by her children, Daniel Melesko and his wife Laurie of Clinton, Karen DeCarli and her fiancé Wayne Gates of Vernon, Elaine Krupski and her husband Donald of Ellington, and Vincent Melesko of Las Vegas, NV; her siblings, Sister Catherine Fernholtz and Alvin Fernholtz; her grandchildren, Francis DeCarli (Kim), Johnathan DeCarli( Liz), Heather Melesko, Kevin Krupski and his wife Amy, Edward Melesko, Jennifer Onion and her husband Joseph, and David Melesko; her great grandchildren Madison and Johnny; and large extended family, including special friends Dee Trench and Barbara DeCarli. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Wayne Melesko; and her grandson, Sean Melesko, her former son in law, John DeCarli, and many extended family members. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville, CT 06066. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville. The family would like to thank the staff of Woodlake at Tolland , especially “Moonie”, for their compassionate care.
