Obituary for Jessica P. Braun

Braun, Jessica Patricia (Jess/Jessie), age 32 of Coventry, CT, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Hartford Hospital with her family by her side. Jess was a loving mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, partner and friend. With her large green eyes, auburn hair and dazzling smile, her fondest wish was that everyone would be kind to one another.

Jessica was born in Hartford, CT on February 6, 1985 to Cherryll (Minns) Ossolinski and Steven Braun. Jessica was a lover of the ocean, good food, great music, laughter, and time spent with family and friends. She insisted on dying her naturally gorgeous red locks outrageous colors; the last considerations being purple, blue or bright red. She was a talented artist and loved her job as a CNA at Woodlake at Tolland. She wanted to take care of others even when she needed care herself. Jessie's most important job, and the thing that brought her the most joy, was being a mom to her three children.

She is dearly loved and survived by her three children, Katrina, Stevie and Josiah, her mother, Cherryll, step-dad, Eric Ossolinski, and her siblings Taylor and Austin, all of Coventry. Her father, Steve and step-mom, Christine Braun of East Windsor, and
step-brother Ryan (Simpsonville, South Carolina). She also leaves her partner, Tremaine Kennedy of Coventry, with a broken heart.

Deeply loved, she is missed by grandmothers Patricia (Holly) Beckett-Mason (Canton), and Patricia Braun (Glastonbury). She is predeceased by her grandfathers, John Minns, Albert Braun and Albert Mason. We’re sure they greeted her with great love (and a bit of frustration at seeing her so soon).

Her Aunt Grace, husband Mike and cousin Jacob (Enfield), Aunt Lisa, husband Ben, and cousin Barrett (Delray Beach, FL), Aunt Vicky and Uncle Ed (South Glastonbury), Uncle Bob, wife Krys (Reno, Nevada), Grandparents Virginia (Jacksonville, FL), Richard and Marilyn (Greer, SC) and Aunt Michelle (Jacksonville, FL), numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of really great friends; some new, some life-long (3Jessicas) are all finding it hard to believe our lives are forever changed. Together, we hope to find peace.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and the entire staff of Hartford Hospital’s Bliss10 ICU for their excellent care of Jessica during her illness as well as their attention and caring for her family.

Friends and relatives may join the family on Saturday, May 20, 2017 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Turnpike (Rt. 44) Coventry, CT 06238.
