John Leskey, Jr., 85, of Ellington passed away peacefully on February 22, 2017. He was born on December 1, 1931 in Somerset, Pennsylvania to the Late Mary (Bielski) and John Leskey, Sr. He was married to his Lovely wife Marylyn (Goldecker) Leskey for 55 years. He loved attending his grandchildren’s sports events that included baseball, softball, soccer and basketball. He proudly served as a corporal in the Army from 1948 to 1952. He enjoyed all aspects of woodworking. Besides his wife Marylyn, he is survived by his sons John Scott Leskey and his wife Lynda of Texas, Christopher Micheal Leskey and his wife Christina of Vernon, Daughter Michele Lee Wunsch and her husband Robert of South Windsor, grandchildren, Alexis and Mikayla Leskey, Samantha Wunsch, Benjamin and Tyler Leskey, Robert Allen Wunsch III; his sisters Dorothy Leskey and Kathy Dinning and his brother Robert Leskey. Friends and relatives may join the family on Sunday, March 5, 2017 between 5pm-8pm at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect Street, Rockville. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11am St. Luke’s Church, 141 Maple Street, Ellington. Burial will follow at Ellington Center Cemetery.
