Ronald L. Gessay, 77, of Rockville passed away peacefully,Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born December 2, 1938 in Rockville, the son of the late Stephen and Catherine (Miffitt) Gessay. He worked for Modern Blue Print and then for the State of CT in Highway Design. He took an early retirement to enjoy fishing and traveling to his favorite islands. He held a membership at various local clubs where socializing with his friends was his favorite pastime. He loved the ocean, especially Hampton Beach which held many happy memories of days spent with family and friends. He had great pride in his niece and nephews accomplishments. He is survived by his brother, Stephen Gessay III and his wife Constance of Tolland; his two nephews, Christopher Gessay and his wife Tammy of Vernon and Kevin Gessay of London, England; and his great nephew and niece, Mitchell and Jillian. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 5-8 on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St. Rockville, CT 06066. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at St. Bernard’s Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville.
