Raymond C. Kocum, Sr., 80 of Broad Brook, beloved husband of Marlene (Joyner) Kocum passed away Monday, September 5, 2016. He was born January 20, 1936 in Hartford, the son of the late Charles and Lillian (Welch) Kocum. He served in the United States Navy and was employed at Hamilton Standard for over 35 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons and their spouses, Raymond and Nadine Kocum of Broad Brook and Douglas and Julie Kocum of Enfield; his step daughters and their spouses, Laura and Tim Heim, Amy Wyse and Kevin Reilly and Sara Spencer and Dave; his sisters, Shirley Bombonti and her husband Patrick of Rocky Hill and Beverly Hurley of Vernon; his grandchildren, Neil and Alex Turner, Zachary and Jacob Kocum, and Miranda, Nicholas, Sierra and Derek Wyse. He was predeceased by his first wife Beatrice (Hurley) Kocum, his daughter, Marylynne Turner and his sisters, Eleanor Montenieri and Barbara Cheney.
