Anna Elsie (Floeting) Frost was born March 19, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY; the eldest child of Charles and Elsie (Sostman) Floeting. In the early 1930’s she moved with her mother ,sisters [Elsie(Bates) and Alma (Lesniaski)], and brother (William) to Eastford, CT and graduated from the Woodstock Academy in 1937. Upon graduation she moved to Hartford, CT and was employed by Bell Telephone and subsequently the Aetna Insurance Company. In 1940 she married Everett Francis Frost (died Jan. 2003) of Hartford, CT, beginning married life in East Hartford. In 1956, they bought a home in Coventry, CT. She was then employed as a key punch operator developing computerized cataloguing in the Spare Part Division of Pratt & Whitney Aircraft from which she retired in 1974. In 2002 she moved to Creamery Brook in Brooklyn, CT. Throughout her long life, Mrs. Frost was a member of the Connecticut Chapter of the Grand Order of the Eastern Star, and an active member of the Second Congregational Church of Coventry where she was a Deaconess and member, sometimes Chair of the Gleaners and the Fragment Societies. She was also a member of the committee to restore the [Colonial era] Loomis House in Windsor, CT and a volunteer activities organizer and participant at both the Loomis House and the Nathan Hale Homestead (a Connecticut Landmark and State Park). Anna E. Frost is survived by her son, Everett, a retired WGBH Executive Producer and University Professor now living in Reading, England; her daughter, Diane Noyes, owner and operator of the Cedar Rock Horse Farm in Hampton,CT; and her brother William, a retired Pratt and Whitney engineer living in Uncas,CT. Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Eastford Grove Cemetery, Rt. 198, Eastford, CT.
