Robert “Bob” N. Little, 82, of Broad Brook, beloved husband of 38 years to Elsie “Ellie” M. Little, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at home. Bob was born October 12, 1933, son of the late Frank and Dorothy Little. He graduated from Loomis Chaffee and Tufts University followed by a lifelong career in the IT world. In retirement he served on the East Windsor Board of Finance for several years, was an avid UCONN basketball fan and a crossword puzzle enthusiast. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by three sons: Jonathan and wife Nan of Gladstone, VA; Paul and wife Marie of Berlin; David and wife Joan of Baltimore, MD; two stepdaughters, Lee Haines and husband Michael of West Suffield; and Lynn Cote and husband Alan of South Windsor and ten grandchildren, Sage, Amelia, Nathan, Matthew, Grace, Lauren, Hilary, Alexander, Sam and Sarah. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Kimberly Hall South, the VNA nursing staff of Vernon and to the caregivers at A Caring Hand for their care and compassion of Bob during this past year. Family and friends may gather Saturday, February 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner Street, East Windsor, followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
