Obituary for Cynthia P. "Lois" Caisse

Cynthia P. "Lois" Caisse
Cynthia (Lois) Putnam Caisse, age 83, of Coventry, beloved wife of Norman Caisse, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was born March 27, 1932 in Claremont, NH, daughter of Charles and Lucina (Pickering) Putnam. She was an active member of the Second Congregational Church of Coventry for 55 years and church secretary there for 20 years. Lois was very involved in the choir and was the featured soloist singing "Oh Holy Night" at many Christmas services. She loved singing so much, she was involved in several singing groups as well. She graduated from Northampton Commercial College and worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft where she met her devoted husband of 60 years. Lois loved her family and she took great joy in visiting her family in New Hampshire. Lois also had a great love of animals including watching the birds at the feeder. In addition to her husband Norman, she is survived by her children Sheryl Martin and her husband Brad of Coventry, Bruce Caisse and his wife Barbara of Coventry, Charles Caisse and his wife Linda of Coventry, and Gary Caisse and his wife Susan of Southington. She also leaves her grandchildren Ashley, Adam, Alexandra and her husband Dan, Hallie, Andy, Vicki, Sarah, and Rebecca, her great grandson Logan, her nieces Jan Heighes to whom she was like a second mother, and Angela Reese, her nephews Tony and John Trubiano. She was predeceased by her siblings Mae Bissonette, Phyllis Trubiano and Boe Putnam. Lois had a great interest in American History; reading numerous biographies of presidents and taking great pride in being a Putnam. In her spare time she knit numerous items and took pride in her precision; Lois also enjoyed cross stitching; she cross stitched Christmas stockings for her grand children. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Second Congregational Church in Coventry, 1746 Boston Turnpike, Coventry, CT 06238 at 11 am. Reception to follow in the Community House. Burial will be private. For online condolences, please visit www.pietrasfuneralhome.com In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Music Team of the Second Congregational Church of Coventry as Lois would love to know Kathy could buy new music or start a fund for new choir robes.
